Mary Elizabeth MacInnis

Mary Elizabeth MacInnis, who became a masterful step dancer and fiddler, is best known as a piano player.

Hailing from Judique, Cape Breton, she is the daughter of the iconic Cape Breton fiddler, Buddy MacMaster.  She first joined her father on stage at the age of 14, performed frequently with him at the Barn, and played for him on his albums, The Judique Flyer and Cape Breton Tradition. The tradition continues. Daughter Sarah is a talented Gaelic singer and her daughter Elizabeth is a stepdancer and fiddler who learned her first tune from her grandfather.
